    Crepe Steel Pan

    • Steel plate is the ideal metal for making crispy, tasty crepes
    • The low sides of the steel pancake frying pan allows crepes to be easily flipped and turned
    • The handle is welded
    • Extra thick "Carbone Plus" steel. Perfect heat source distribution.
    • For use on any heating element: gas, vitro ceramic and electricity as well as on induction hob. 1.2 to 3 mm thickness. Riveted steel handle
    • The crepe steel frying pan remains essential for Sealing, Browning, Grilling food (steak, omelets, crepes, etc.) and improving flavor
    • Once it reaches temperatures above 140° C, the steel frying pan seals the food on the surface, resulting in the caramelization of the natural juices (the Maillard reaction).
    • A crust forms, preventing moisture from evaporating. The food becomes brown and crusty on the surface, tender and soft in the middle
    • Perfect for frying meat and obtaining crispy crepes or tasty omelets!

    Seasoning tip:

    • Put some potato peelings in your crepe steel pan, cover with water and boil for 15 minutes.
    • Next, throw away the peelings and rinse the frying pan with very hot water, wipe it and heat a little oil in the pan
    • finally wipe the pan with a paper towel
    • Your steel pancake pan is ready to use

The rarest and best deBuyer carbon steel series Kerekes is one of the few places that sells this particular deBuyer series it doesn't even appear on deBuyers American website. This series is sometimes called Carbon Plus but as in the case of this 26cm crepe pan that name isn't always used. So what's the difference between the deBuyer Carbon Plus series this pan and say the deBuyer Mineral series which looks similar and is of similar gauge. The Mineral series has a thin rubber coating on the handle that prevents the pans from being able to be used in the oven at high temps. The Carbon Plus series has some sort of baked-on enamel that can take high heat. The Mineral series is around twice as expensive as the Carbon Plus series and is what deBuyer promotes to consumers. The Carbon Plus series is more versatile more rugged since the handle coating degrades on the Mineral series at least used to be what deBuyer promotes to restaurants and is significantly less expensive. We have a full set of All-Clad D5 pans and a full set of Staub ceramiccast iron. We also have four deBuyer Carbon Plus frying pans including these two crepe pans. We use the deBuyer pans more than all the others combined. DeBuyer Carbon Plus pans are naturally non-stick last forever weigh A LOT less than cast iron and once they are seasoned and turn black rarely if ever require much attention. They just look like the pans that are used in mountain inns in the French Alps. Compared to all other pans that appeal to serious cooks the deBuyer pans are WAY LESS expensive. And yet they perform as well or better than All-Clad D5 and Staub which are somewhere around 4-10 times more costly. If you don't have any deBuyer carbon pans and you're a dedicated cook you should buy one and try it. I think you'll be impressed. Kerekes Bake Deco is also great in the sense that they have the hard to find Carbon Plus series their prices for this series are significantly lower than anywhere else they ship quickly and are completely reliable. Whatever we've ordered from them has been absolutely brand new and well-packed.

Awesome Excellent product. Nice surface area for cooking steaks as well as the usual eggs. I got this pan because it was cheap and wanted to check out what the rave on carbon steel was. I love it

Dimensions are incorrect While I love the pan and carbon steel pans in general. The dimensions are incorrect. The pan I received is 10.5" lip to lip and has a 9" cooking surface. The handle is 9- 5/8" long. I now own 3 De Buyer pans, 2 carbon plus crepe pans and 1 Mineral B country fry pan and really prefer the carbon plus as the Mineral B pan is somewhat heavy.
