Works as Advertised Good size for making French onion soup slightly smaller at top to contain the croutons and to facilitate the melting the cheese. It is deep enough to hold a fair amount of the broth and caramelized onions. If I had to do it again I probably buy a set with a handle. Overall a decent purchase.
