Because of the way these molds are made, you may note, on receiving the heart molds, two attributes.
- Convexity, in both the large and the small heart molds: The mold, held right-side up, is shaped as if pushed from beneath. This form will not affect the food you are baking--the weight of the batter will flatten the mold as the product bakes, to yield a cake that is level.
- A pinprick-sized hole appears in three spots on the base of the mold. The three are evenly spaced and near the sides of the mold. On the sides themselves, near the pinprick holes, are pinhead-sized holes. Because liquid may seep through those perforations, use this mold with a more viscous substance like dough or batter.

Great
We used for valentines day cakes and they were perfect

Works great for my almond cakes!
I've been buying these molds for my new home baking business and the Novacart molds work so well. I tried these heart-shaped ones and even it's July my customers found a reason to order their cake in this shape. There two 2-3 tiny holes in the mold and I believe they are for venting. Hold shape during the baking process. Happy with the purchase and will continue to buy the Novacart molds

Great for Valentines Day
Have seen these in circle and square shapes but the hearts were new to me. I bought some for some of the sweets that we display around the holidays. They can hold quite a few cookies or candies, depending on what you are going for. Nice that you can use them to bake, will have to try that soon.
