The Purity Flavor Mix Tank is designed for use in ice cream plant services in which employment of mixing vats capable of heating and cooling the product at the same time is not required. In such cases it can eliminate a considerable investment in equipment. The mixing tank has applications in other food industries having problems of a similar nature.
The Tanks are built in capacities of 50-gal. and 100-gal. per batch and in insulated and uninsulated types. The insulated type is recommended in all cases where it is desired to maintain the temperature of the product at a specified level during an extended period.
Purity Flavor Mix Tanks have been carefully engineered for their particular purpose in the light of our vast experience in building pasteurizers for similar services. This same experience has dictated the completely sanitary design and enduring construction, including the use of highly polished stainless steel for all surfaces in contact with the product or otherwise exposed.
Insulated tanks have stainless steel inner lining, one inch of insulation and stainless steel outer jacket. Uninsulated tanks are of singleshell construction. Both types have heavily reinforced rounded top rim to withstand dump filling if required.
Units are of completely welded construction with all seams ground and polished Corners have ample radius. Bottom is heavily reinforced and pitched to IY2" threaded outlet for quick draining.

Two-piece, single-thickness covers are pitched for drainage and front section raises for easy inspection or may be removed entirely by lifting from the hinge. The rear cover section carries IY2" no-foam product inlet, drip-proof thermometer ferrule and the opening for the agitator shaft, which is provided with a drip shield. Rear cover is removable
when the agitator is uncoupled. The gear-head motor is mounted above it on a rigidly supported stainless steel shelf.
The agitator, which is in many respects the heart of the Mixer, is fabricated of stainless steel and highly polished. It is designed to provide the most thorough agitation possible without in any way endangering any quality of the product. It is coupled to the motor coshaft at the top and rotates on an especially designed sanitary bearing in the bottcm of the liner. The agitator is instantly removable for cleaning.
