Winco WMW-8 8" Wood Cocktail Bar Muddler

Makes a nice decorative piece It is small and adorable. I've used it for muddling several times now, giving it a quick swish of warm, lightly soapy dishwater for cleaning and the finish is wearing off the rounded end/tip of the muddler making it now unusable, in my opinion. Maybe this is common with citrus use, but why add a finish to anything that will be used for food prep?! I was muddling for Mojito's (simple syrup, mint and sliced lime) but I had also been using the end of my maple rolling pin before I bought this one, without any issues but my maple pin does not have a "finish" on it, it is just regular wood, hand made by a friend which I will now continue to use until I can find a muddler without an added "finish" that will peel, fade or otherwise degrade with use. I'm disappointed in this product as I can no longer use it for its' intended purpose but will keep it on my bar just because it is so darn cute.

Finish flakes off The coating flakes off when you use it. Otherwise fine.

Wooden Muddler It is just what I've been looking for... Haven't used it yet but I'm sure I will!!
