Oneida Red Can Opener

As good as our 45 year old one... When our old Swing-A-Way started to not cut through harder can lids, and the toothed drive wheel started to lose its traction, we started looking for one just like it. We were happy to find that the exact same opener is still manufactured (now, in China). We ordered one, somewhat unhappy about the high shipping charges; the product price was quite reasonable. When the now one arrived, we did a careful side by side comparison. They were virtually identical. We did note that in use, the new one seems to propel the cutter wheel even better than the old one ever did (sharper "teeth" on the drive gear?). We are perfectly satisfied...when you have a great design, why mess with it?
