Double Star Shaped Rosette Iron Mold, Cast Aluminum

Rosette cookies have a long tradition in Scandinavian households, and making and frying them homemade is a fun and easy project. Rosettes are a traditional Swedish pastry made by dipping a Rosette or Timbale iron into a thin batter, then frying it in hot oil. Traditional Rosette designs are center around holiday shapes, like stars or snowflakes. Today, these irons come in an assortment of interesting and more intricate patterns, such as this two-in-one star design. Our Rosette Molds are made from a cast aluminum alloy, so they are lightweight for easy handling around hot oil, and durable.  Design allows for the rosette cookie to slide easily off the mold after frying (Irons should be seasoned properly in hot oil prior to first use).

    • Double Star Rosette Iron measures 2-3/4" across, 1/2" high
    • Molds are made from a durable lightweight cast aluminum alloy; rosettes slide right off the mold after frying
    • Rosette irons should be seasoned before first uses to ensure easy release of cookies
    • Rosette Iron Handles are sold separately

Rosette Irons I purchased this star iron along with 4 different shaped irons. They are made very well and work as I expected them to in the hot oil. Once removed from the oil as long as you fry with them as you are supposed to for Scandinavian rosettes the rosette stays together and you definitely can tell what the rosette shape is supposed to be. I have true Scandinavian rosette irons given to me by my Norwegian aunts and these match the fine quality.
