Ateco 399 Pastry-Tube Cover, Set of 4

When your pastry bag is full but not in use, the cream is covered by the bag on the sides and in the back (if you've folded or tied the bag closed at that end) and by the pastry tip in front--except at the pastry-tip opening, where the cream is exposed to the air and can dry up, clogging the tube.

The plastic pastry-tube cover prevents that drying by closing off the tip opening.

With the cream sealed all around, you can keep it inside the bag in the fridge until further use, or take the cream-filled bag from one place to another.

The cover fits either over the Ateco pastry tube or onto the Ateco standard coupler (the smallest of the three Ateco couplers).

Tube is 2-1/8 inch long, with an opening 7/8 inch diameter for the first 15/16 inch of the length. From that point the tube tapers to 1/2 inch diameter at the closed end (measured on the outside).
